TECHNICAL difficulties which stopped Vale residents communicating with the authority via its contact centre and website, have been resolved.
Residents wishing to get in touch found the website intermittently offline and the C1V call centre not able to field any calls.
The Vale Council has thanked residents for their patience and understanding on Wednesday, August 27.
Vale Council operational manager for customer relations, Tony Curliss, said the problem had arose “due to some power issues.”
He said: “As a result the website was intermittently offline and the contact centre was unable to receive any calls
“Some residents who called the contact centre will have heard an automated message informing them that their call could not be dealt with due to an “emergency situation”. We would like to reassure our residents that this was simply a default message and that there is no cause for concern.”
