A CONSULTATION has been launched on aligning apprenticeship programmes in Wales with the needs of the economy.
Over 51,000 people are on apprenticeship schemes across the country. The consultation will look at raising course standards; ensuring programmes meet employer needs and increasing demand for Welsh-medium provision.
Part of the consultation will look at the role employers’ play in designing apprenticeship programmes.
Views of employers, apprentices, training providers and those involve in the design and delivery of apprenticeships in Wales is being sought.
The consultation is open until April 24 and details are available on http://wales.gov.uk.
