CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to six arrests made last week.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 50 times during the week ending Sunday, January 25.

On January 19 two people were arrested on Holton Road, Barry wanted on a warrant. One of these people was also arrested for theft.

On January 20 also on Holton Road, Barry, one person was arrested for blackmail, while on Thompson Street, Barry, on January 22 one person was arrested for assault.

Two people were arrested on January 25, one on Vere Street, Barry for theft, and one on Jenner Street, Barry, for possession of drugs and possession of offensive weapons.

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
