THE CF postcode has been revealed as one of the luckiest in the country, with a former lottery winner from Barry voicing his approval.

The National Lottery confirmed that the CF postcode continues to produce the highest number of millionaires in all of Wales.

One of those winners includes Matthew Evans who won £2.6 million in July 2015.

Since the launch of The National Lottery 85 millionaires have been made in the CF postcode area – three a year – and things have improved even more recently, with 13 of those being made in the last two years alone.

This means a millionaire is currently made in the area approximately every two months. In total 608 top tier prizes of at least £50,000 have been banked by players in the CF postcode.

To celebrate the news, Mr Evans visited one of CF’s most famous landmarks, Cardiff Wales Airport, somewhere he has made good use of since his Lottery win last year.

As well as individual winners, communities have benefitted. In 2015, 2,112 grants worth £67,154,900 were distributed to National Lottery funded projects in Wales.

Each National Lottery player helps to raise over £34 million every week for good causes. This helps fund athletes competing at Rio, the nation’s arts and heritage, and many thousands of projects in local communities across the UK.
