A STUNNING piece of art of a legendary rock star has appeared on Whitmore Bay, Barry Island, leaving residents and tourists alike mesmerized.
The artwork, which measures six metres by 10 metres in size, is a captivating image of the legendary singer Freddie Mercury.
The piece was created by Nathan Wyburn, a talented artist who rose to fame after his appearance on Britain's Got Talent.
The artwork has been created to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the GlastonBARRY Tribute Festival, which takes place at Romilly Park in July.

Mr Wyburn's unique style and ability to create art using unusual mediums have made him a popular artist, and his latest creation is no exception.
The artwork was said to have become a talking point among locals and tourists, with many people stopping to take photographs and admire the striking image.
Nathan Wyburn said he was honoured to draw the legendary Freddie Mercury.
"I'm thrilled to have been given the opportunity to create this artwork in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the GlastonBARRY Tribute Festival,” said Mr Wyburn.
“Freddie Mercury is an icon, and it was an honour to create this piece in his memory."

GlastonBARRY is a celebration of music and features 22 tribute acts held at the end of July.
Popular Queen tribute ‘FLASH’ will headline the show this summer.
The artwork is a testament to the talent and creativity of Nathan Wyburn, and a fitting tribute to the music of Freddie Mercury.
The festival has grown in popularity over the years and has become a highlight of the summer events calendar in Barry attracting around 7,000 guests per day to the seaside town.
The GlastonBARRY Tribute Festival takes place on 29 - 30 July at Romilly Park for music lovers of all ages.
