I DON’T like to admit I’m wrong, but thank you Vale of Glamorgan for banning dogs from the beach until October.
It means that I don’t have to walk through the disgusting mess that has been left on the beach. It must be lovely sitting in the sun, amongst soiled nappies, used portable barbecues and chicken bones.
I don’t mind that the council directs the cleaning services from the streets of the Island to clear up the mess daily, in time for the “day trippers” who they pander to, to make it again. I applaud the fact that they don’t use enforcement officers, like other councils.
We wouldn’t want to spoil the visitors’ day by fining them for enjoying themselves throwing litter, because that would stop them coming again.
