BRYNHILL Club Captain John Giles and Immediate Past Captain Mike Moore reached the knockout final of the South Wales Coast Golf Captains Society at Glamorganshire Golf Club. Brynhill had beaten Royal Porthcawl, Pyle and Kenfig and Newport Golf Club in previous rounds.
Their opponents at Glamorganshire for the 50th Anniversary knockout final,were Paul Holliman and Carl Jenkins from Whitchurch Golf Club, Cardiff. The final was played in beautiful weather on an excellent golf course .The match was refereed by Martin Price, the Society Captain. Brynhill won the final six and four and Captain John Giles puts their success down to him having his clubs re-gripped by Matthew Owen the new professional at Brynhill Golf Club.
