IT was a tough weekend for Vale teams in the lower leagues with the majority losing including Cardiff Airport and Holton Road who had three players sent to the sin-bin in a show of ill-discipline from the side.

Ely Rangers and Sully played a derby, with Rangers coming out on top.

In the Premier Division, Cardiff Airport made the long trek north to face promotion rivals - the Rhondda’s Treherbert BGC.

After taking a two nil lead inside the opening 20 minutes through Jack Davies and Lee Stradling, Treherbert came back to equalise either side of the half time break.

They extended their lead to 4-2 before Curtis Scotto scored Airport’s third late in stoppage time.

Dinas Powys winless season continued losing at home to promotion chasing FC Cwmaman.

After taking the lead through Jack Harrold they couldn’t stop FC Cwmaman scoring three in reply.

The Championship saw a local derby when Ely Rangers made the trip from Wenvoe to Sully Sports.

Luke Davidson opened the scoring in the third minute.

Sully held on for an hour until substitutes Oliver Bradley extended Rangers lead and Jadan Bahumaid added a third in stoppage time to leave with a three nil victory.

Holton Road travelled east to Cardiff to face Division 1 West relegation zone Fairwater and came away on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat.

Ill-discipline saw Holton Road losing three players to the sin-bin.

They went three nil behind before two late goals from Paul Morgan and Ben Pearce. 

Cogan Coronation made the short trip to Canal Park in Butetown where they were defeated by 2022 Somali Champions League Winners Cardiff Bay Warriors 4-0.
