With the January transfer window closing soon, Jenkins brought in two players this month, and released two others.

31-year old midfielder Lee Lucas is a former Wales under-21 international who started his career at Swansea City before spending time at Burton Albion, Cheltenham Town and Motherwell, joining Barry from Southern Premier League side, Taunton Town.

The second signing is central defender Will Richards, who joins from National League North side, Gloucester City. Welsh-born Richards started at Shrewsbury Town, with experience at Redditch and Chippenham Town amongst others.

Leaving Barry is long-serving midfielder Troy Greening, who made 224 appearances for the club since first signing back in Spring 2013.

While at the club, Greening was part of four title winning squads and helped Barry qualify for Europe. He scored the opening goal against Colwyn Bay in last season’s Welsh Blood Service National League Cup Final.

Also departing is defender Luke Sylvester, who played a dozen games in 2023 since rejoining Barry from Penybont.
