Three Vale teams were involved in SWFA Senior Cup action this weekend.

Cardiff Airport faced Llangeinor at Jenner Park. Llangeinor - from SWAL Division 1 West - had come off a shock victory over Airport's Premier Division rivals Tonyrefail BGC in the previous round and opened the scoring through an own goal.

However, Airport re-grouped and were leading 3-1 by half time with two goals from Lee Stradling and a Tegid Richards penalty.

Two more followed early in the second half from Jack Davies and a second by Tegid Richards.

Llangeinor scored a consolation before Tegid Richards completed his hat-trick to complete the victory 6-2.

Sully Sports had another local derby facing Holton Road at Sully after their 7-6 defeat to Ely Rangers last weekend.

Andrew Smith gave Sully an early lead before Bradley O’Loughlin equalised for Holton Road.

Luke Evans restored Sully’s lead before Bradley O’Loughlin equalised again and Linford Harris put Holton Road in front.

A Luke Evans' 92nd minute penalty took the game to a penalty shoot out with Sully coming out on top 5-4.

Cogan Coronation and Canton Rangers try again this weekend after the pitch at Penarth Leisure Centre was waterlogged.

Dinas Powys, Vale United and Ely Rangers league games all also fell foul of the wet weather.
