It was almost a complete washout this weekend with Wenvoe based Ely Rangers the only Vale club in action.

They hosted promotion rivals Clwb Cymric at Station Road in third place versus second.

Early pressure saw Rangers take the lead midway in the first half through Tobi Winton and Rangers went on to miss several good chances to increase their lead before Clwb Cymric equalised on the half hour.

The rain came down and Rangers domination left them with their rivals fully in control by half time.

A penalty in the opening minute of the second half saw Clwb Cymric go 2-1 up before increasing their lead to 3-1 ten minutes later.

The game looked all but over for Rangers as a win would put Clwb Cymric into top place. However, a brace by Luke Davidson in the 60th and 78th minutes brought the scores level.

With Rangers now back in control they could not get the winner and the honours ended even at 3-3

Next week sees Cogan Coronation try for the third time to play Canton Rangers in the SWFA Senior Cup, with the game reversed to Leckwith’s House of Sport 3G.

Cardiff Airport travel along the coast to face Porthcawl in the Premier Division, Vale United travel north to Aberdare Town in the Championship and Holton Road host Tata Steel United in Division 1 West.
